We went to the ice rink this morning so that Sami could try out her ice skates for the first time. She did really good for never having skates on her feet before. It was more like ice walking, but the whole point was just to get a feel for it.
Then after a little afternoon rest, we went sledding for a little bit. Lots of fun, but a bit difficult because I was wearing Carhartts that were pretty snug around the waist, making it difficult to bend and sit on the sled. I made the mistake of not paying attention to the terrain on the first hill that we went down and the three of us (Sami, myself and Juan Carlos) hit a big bump in the snow and the next thing you know we were on the Air Traffic Control map.
Tomorrow is the beginning of my What's for Dinner? daily posts. Well, maybe daily. I'm going to be sharing about my adventures in the kitchen. I think I will be keeping it simple for tomorrow night, but hope to work my way up. My goal is to have Mac & Cheese less than once a week. We'll see how this goes.
