1st Haircut

Sami's hair is so funny. It is straight and super curly at the same time. The top layer and sides are all straight, but the back bottom layer (think mullet) is super curly. It looks so goofy if I don't put it in a ponytail. I'll take a picture of it sometime for you. Anyway, it's been extra out of control, so I decided it was time to visit Amber for Sami's first haircut. Thanks Amber!!!

The dull picture on the bottom was taken by cell phone at the Harley shop. Joe and Sami were pretending that they were in our garage and those were all of their motorcycles. Sweet dreams.

Our tree removal service

I just realized I need to post a pic for today. This is what you get. It's a couple of months ago when Joe cut down the tree in our front yard. He was taking all of the necessary safety precautions: working alone, wearing his motorcycle helmet...unbuckled, ladder tied to the tree, tree tied to the pickup (that's the line that you see on the upper right) and chainsaw in hand. I took this thinking I was about to come into some money.

Women Drivers No Survivors

So the neighbor boy was very generous and shared his tractor/truck with Sami...even let her drive! This was her first experience on one of these things and she picked it up pretty quick...

Kevin Heinz and Jillian Peterson, their seven bridesmaids, five groomsmen and four ushers boogied down the aisle to the Chris Brown song ``Forever' before the couple exchanged vows June 20 in St. Paul.
Peterson says she grew up dancing and loves dance as a way of expression. She says she didn't have any trouble talking her fiance into it.
After posting the video on YouTube for family members, Heinz said the number of hits just exploded. The video has gotten at least a half million hits by late Thursday.
The couple went to New York Friday to appear on the network morning shows.

She finally felt brave enough to lay down in the bathtub without my support. Now I can't get her to sit up in the tub.

Redhawks!

The office I work in is having a retreat today. This is at the Redhawks game!! I'll post more pix later, just had to post this in case I forget later.

My Big Girl!

She woke up to go potty last night! At about 3:00 am Sami woke up and hollared "Mommy, I have go potty!" And she wasn't kidding! As soon as she sat down on the potty she started going, and then when she was all done in the bathroom she walked herself right back to her room. I am so proud of my baby girl!!! She has even made a few stinks on the toilet!

Tomorrow (Wed) starts my challenge of posting a picture a day for 30 days. We'll see how that goes!

Maybe now I won't hear "UPDATE YOUR BLOG" anymore (you know who you are!). Er, actually, the reminders are helpful. I didn't realize it had been TWO months since I posted.

Disney's A Christmas Carol Train Tour

This freakin' fantastic (sarcasm) train was in Fargo for a day and I made the poor decision to take Sami to see it because it was advertised as "A fantastic-and totally free-family event for guests of all ages." Two freakin' fantastic hours later we finally made it to the entrance of the train. Maybe the two hours in line would have been less miserable if we weren't behind two women with at least six kids, most of whom were naughty - one especially, but I won't say who just in case you might know them. But seriously, put your kid on a leash. I'll go buy one for you. Actually, two. I think two leashes would be better. The Effen Train

...two hours later (1 hr 45 min in line; 15 minutes on the train). Ready to step off the train, but getting our picture taken by The-Little-Girl-On-The-Left's (TLGOTL) mommy. TLGOTL just popped into the picture with us, but she was really sweet, so we didn't mind.
