9 Weeks

Nine weeks from today we should be a family of four. Doesn't seem like that long, yet still seems so far away. Since all that I can think about lately is when this baby will be out of my belly an in my arms, I figured I'd take a stroll down Memory Lane. . .

This is me the night I was induced to try bring stubborn Sami into this world.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

I haven't posted a pic in a while, so just took this one to go with this post. Instead of saying "cheese" for the picture, Sami has to say "tooty". She is a bit obsessed with that word.

On Wednesday night Sami said to Joe: "I'm Daddy and you're Sami. Now go clean your room!"

Death Sentence

I had to do a three-hour glucose test this morning because my one-hour glucose test that I took last week came back one point high. One point. So, three plus hours and four blood draws later the verdict is in. One of my draws came back high, but the other three were normal. Two high draws is cause for 'real' action (whatever that may be). But one high draw just prompts my doctor to tell me to CUT BACK MY SUGAR/CARBS INTAKE.

Baby Update

I'm sitting at the clinic waiting to have my blood drawn for the one-hour glucose test so thought I'd post the update. NO I AM NOT HAVING THIS BABY TOMORROW! July 12th is the surgery date, so we'll have a romantic 5th anniversary weekend (hahaha) before Juan Carlos enters this world. My appointments are at every two weeks now and the doc says I am measuring right on track. I have been having braxton hicks contractions which I didn't have with Sami, so it's a little freaky. I'm terrified that I will go into labor before surgery and will end up with a different doctor cutting into me. Juan Carlos is very active and it's so distracting. I think he is trying to escape. Sometimes he kicks so much in there that it jerks my body a little bit. No, I don't KNOW that it's a boy, I just have a feeling.
