Not Intimidated

She may be intimidated by her daddy's big Indian motorcycle, but this little Honda was just her size and she hopped right on it the instant she set her eyes on it. You have no idea how surprised I am that it wasn't in the back of the pickup when they got home.

My friend, Erin, recently joined the ND Air National Guard. I know it was a tough decision for her, but it is something she really wanted to do. She has been in Texas for basic training and tech school since April and just got back to Fargo today. I am so proud of her!!

She looks like she's wearing her Snobby Pants in this picture, but I just caught her off guard. She was actually wearing her Dinkin'-Around Pants this morning. Now she is on her way to the Honda store and the Harley store with her dad, who is wearing his I-Want-Tobacco-Like-You-Can't-Believe Pants today. They must be pretty dirty because he's been wearing those pants for about five months now.

I've slipped! I spent my Friday evening analyzing our finances and I didn't even forget that I had to post a picture...I just chose not to. I was so tired and didn't feel like digging through my 10 gallon purse to find my camera, then linking it up to the computer, uploading photos, yadda yadda yadda. I didn't post yesterday. But I've been doing pretty dang good!

This is the photo I intended to post yesterday. I took it yesterday morning before Sami and I left. I pulled the top layer and sides of her hair up into a ponytail leaving just her curly afro patch down. It was wet, so you don't really get the afro effect that she typically has going on back there. At least you can see what I am talking about when I say that she has straight hair...except for her afro patch mullet.

Storytime with Daddy before bed...but really she talked him into a bedtime snack. They are sitting at the kitchen table eating cereal together as I type.



This morning. She woke up sometime in the night and I tried to snuggle with her in her room on her little Elmo couch, but it was SO uncomfortable. So I brought her in to bed with me and Joe. This was at about 7:10 this morning. We have to be walking out the door by 7:15 in order for me to make it to work on time.

Sassy Pants fights to the death at bedtime, and there have been quite a few times lately where it has been nearing 11pm and she was still awake. So, yesterday we deprived Miss Sassy of her nap in an attempt to get her to bed by 8pm. She passed out snuggling with Joe Daddy at 7:30pm and slept until I woke her up this morning at 7:20am. That's not even the best part.

This was sometime in July. We were at the mall and stopped by Gymboree. I was too busy shopping to catch this Kodak moment (sucking up every second that I could while I didn't have a whining toddler or husband following me around). Thanks for taking this pic, Dani!
