I'm exhausted just from watching!

I didn't think it could happen to me...

I didn't think it would ever happen to my child. I thought that I could protect her from this; that I could keep her from ever seeing it so that she would never long for it. I thought I could keep her clean from this horrible addiction. I did everything that I could. She must have been exposed at daycare. As a matter of fact, she's singing "You love you, you love you, great big hug" right now - her lyrics. I think that I was contaminated as well, because when we were in Kansas, I bought a B*%#&@ video; I thought 'it's only $5, what's the harm?'. Obviously I was not in my right mind. Of the 53 (9 really) videos that I brought with us on the trip, Barney (there, I said it) was the one that she insisted on watching over and over and over. And over. And how convenient that the video has a 'Continuous Play' feature so that the torture just goes on and on without anyone having to do a thing. It also automatically starts if you don't push the 'Play' button. Please pray for us.

How High is the Water?

My friends Sara & Dave posted this video on their blog. I got a chuckle out of it so wanted to share it as well. I have been at home sick for the past 5 days and haven't been able to help out with the flood fighting efforts, which really stinks considering what most of us went through 12 years ago. I can't believe it's been that long already.

My sick girl (croup) is decked out in her Bison cheerleader attire today to cheer on the men's basketball team. Go Bison!

Kiss This

Samantha, like lots of other kids, likes her Mommy to kiss her owies. Today, she fell on her butt - hard! I was laying on the floor and she came up to me, turned around and said "Kiss it Mommy." She posed for this picture so that you would get the full effect when I told you about it.

Getaway!

I went on a GirlTime Getaway (mystery tour) last weekend with three friends of mine and we had a blast. We ended up in Chanhassen, MN and got to take in a funny play! Here are some pix. Above: Sara, Kate, Amanda, Nicole

with the horses that took us for a ride (Amanda and I both got to 'drive' for a

little bit. It was pretty cool!). I thought that this horse was being

so sweet whispering sweet nothings into my ear and rubbing up against

my neck and shoulder, but he was just trying to taste my coat and sweatshirt!

This was one of my fav stops.
