How High is the Water?

My friends Sara & Dave posted this video on their blog. I got a chuckle out of it so wanted to share it as well. I have been at home sick for the past 5 days and haven't been able to help out with the flood fighting efforts, which really stinks considering what most of us went through 12 years ago. I can't believe it's been that long already.

My sick girl (croup) is decked out in her Bison cheerleader attire today to cheer on the men's basketball team. Go Bison!

Kiss This

Samantha, like lots of other kids, likes her Mommy to kiss her owies. Today, she fell on her butt - hard! I was laying on the floor and she came up to me, turned around and said "Kiss it Mommy." She posed for this picture so that you would get the full effect when I told you about it.

Getaway!

I went on a GirlTime Getaway (mystery tour) last weekend with three friends of mine and we had a blast. We ended up in Chanhassen, MN and got to take in a funny play! Here are some pix. Above: Sara, Kate, Amanda, Nicole

little bit. It was pretty cool!). I thought that this horse was being

so sweet whispering sweet nothings into my ear and rubbing up against

my neck and shoulder, but he was just trying to taste my coat and sweatshirt!

Sick.Girl

Samantha has been fighting a cold for a few days and started crying inconsolably yesterday and in the middle of the night last night. When I took her and her baby to the doctor today, she was SO good! She managed to stay strong for her baby and not cry until the doctor had to scrape her ear so she could see inside. And she calmed down much quicker than normal, too. She has an ear infection in one ear, so started meds today to help it clear up. We have been lucky, so far, to have kept the flu out of our house.

5k

My mom is going to kill me for posting this picture, but it's not the best picture of either of us, so that's my defense. This is the BEFORE shot. I don't know if I will post an 'after' shot until we are closer to the end of our training. We joined a running group (started last week) for the very beginner training for a 5k. I realize that I have done the 5k once before (last year), but this year I won't have my friend, Erin, there to drag me past the finish line, so I figured I had better do something so that I can put our old time to shame. It's the least that I can do while she's at basic training!
